Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Montreal, QC. The Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company trucks to pick up, transport, and deliver packages and freight according to scheduled routes and customer requirements. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, and assisting with unloading when needed. The role involves complying with all company policies and applicable transportation regulations, maintaining accurate delivery and log records, and communicating clearly with dispatch and customers. The Truck Driver is expected to represent Har-G Transport professionally, ensure cargo is handled carefully, and support overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess CDL Class A and strong truck driving skills, including safe operation of commercial trucks.
- Candidates should possess skills in unloading and basic cargo handling to support efficient and safe deliveries.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT regulations and related transportation compliance requirements.
- Strong focus on road safety, defensive driving, and adherence to company procedures.
- Ability to read and follow delivery instructions, maps, and route plans.
- Good communication skills and professional customer service approach.
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and navigate varied weather conditions.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug/alcohol screenings.
- Previous experience in freight or package delivery is an asset.
