This is an opportunity to develop foundational recruitment skills while contributing to the day-to-day operations of the HR team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment intake meetings and follow up with hiring managers to gather approved position details, scheduling availability, and required documentation;

- Assist with identifying potential candidates through job boards, professional networks, and existing candidate databases, using sourcing approaches and outreach messages approved by the HR team;
- Schedule interviews, screening calls, and assessments; coordinate calendars, meeting invitations, and interview materials; and provide candidates with timely updates and logistical information;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records, job postings, and recruitment trackers in platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and CATS; follow up on outstanding feedback and prepare routine recruitment status reports;
- Format and update draft job descriptions, job postings, and interview materials using approved templates and information provided by the HR team and hiring managers; publish approved postings and remove them when positions are filled;
- Prepare offer documentation using approved templates and terms for HR review;
- Participate in quarterly Co-Op recruitment, onboarding & offboarding cycles;
- Develop knowledge of recruitment tools, processes, and best practices, and identify opportunities to improve scheduling, recordkeeping, and candidate communications for the HR team’s consideration;
- Assist with HR and talent acquisition projects and other administrative duties as assigned, while maintaining the confidentiality of candidate and employee information;
- Respond to routine recruitment process enquiries, share approved resources and interview materials with hiring managers, and escalate non-routine questions, selection decisions, and requests for recruitment advice to the HR team.
The ideal candidate for this position has:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience;
- Up to two years of experience in recruitment coordination, HR administration, or administrative support; relevant co-op placements and internships will be considered. Experience in financial services is an asset but is not required;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn recruitment systems; familiarity with job boards and applicant tracking systems such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and CATS is an asset;
- A foundational understanding of the recruitment process and an interest in developing candidate sourcing and screening skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to interact professionally with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate multiple calendars, maintain accurate records, prioritize competing tasks, and follow through on deadlines;
- Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential information, together with a willingness to learn, follow established procedures, and seek guidance when needed.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 per annum (actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
