Receptionist / Accounting Clerk
Harvey & Company Ltd. is looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Receptionist / Accounting Clerk to join our team in St. John’s.
This position combines front-desk reception and customer service responsibilities with accounting and administrative support. As one of the first points of contact for our customers, suppliers, and visitors, you will play an important role in creating a professional and welcoming experience while also supporting the day-to-day activities of our Accounting Department.
Previous truck, or heavy-equipment experience is not required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
As our Receptionist / Accounting Clerk, you will:
Welcome customers, suppliers, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and respond to general inquiries.
Receive and process customer payments and provide receipts as required.
Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
Enter invoices, payments, and other financial information accurately into company systems.
Assist with daily cash, credit card, and payment reconciliation.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing financial and administrative records.
Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department and management team.
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
Help maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Qualifications
Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as required.
We are looking for someone who has:

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, or accounts payable/receivable experience is considered an asset.
Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience in the commercial truck, or heavy-equipment industry is an asset but is not required.
