This is a senior, client-facing role that combines the skills of a media strategist, planner, project leader, and trusted client advisor. The ideal candidate is a paid media subject matter expert who can translate complex ideas, opportunities, and campaign results into clear, actionable recommendations.

The Senior Strategist will work across integrated paid media channels, collaborating closely with internal specialists, account leadership, analytics teams, creative partners, and media vendors to develop thoughtful, effective, and measurable campaigns.

What You'll Do

Strategy, Planning & Performance

Lead the development of integrated media strategies aligned with client business objectives, target audiences, budgets, and KPIs.
Develop recommendations across digital and traditional media channels, including channel roles, targeting, investment, flighting, and measurement approaches.
Translate audience research, market trends, and campaign performance into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Oversee campaigns from briefing and planning through launch, optimization, and reporting, ensuring execution remains aligned with the approved strategy.
Partner with media specialists and analytics teams to evaluate performance, identify optimization opportunities, and apply learnings to future planning.
Identify and present emerging platforms, partnerships, and new media opportunities relevant to client objectives.

Client Leadership

Serve as a senior day-to-day strategic partner for assigned clients.
Lead client meetings, presentations, campaign discussions, and strategic recommendations in both English and French, as required.
Build strong client relationships by developing a deep understanding of their businesses, priorities, and marketing challenges.
Communicate strategies, campaign results, and complex media concepts clearly and confidently.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance and strengthen the client relationship.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate closely with Media Specialists, Sales, Analytics, and other internal teams.
Provide strategic direction and mentorship to junior team members and specialists.
Help ensure internal teams are aligned on client objectives, strategy, deliverables, and timelines.
Contribute to agency best practices, planning frameworks, processes, pitches, and new business opportunities.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of media strategy, planning, or related agency experience, with significant client-facing responsibility.
Strong understanding of integrated paid media strategy across digital and traditional channels.
Demonstrated experience developing strategic media plans and managing campaigns from planning through execution and reporting.
Strong knowledge of audience strategy, targeting, media measurement, KPIs, optimization, and campaign performance.
Experience managing multiple clients, campaigns, budgets, deadlines, and internal stakeholders simultaneously.
Excellent presentation, storytelling, and communication skills.
Comfortable taking ownership, making recommendations, and proactively solving problems.
Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working directly with senior client stakeholders.
