Pay Rate: Up to $30/hr

Location: Edmonton, AB - Onsite (rotating flexible shifts with on-call requirements)

Our client is a real estate management platform providing asset, investment, and property management services across office, retail, industrial, and multi-family residential properties.

Your New Role

As the Building Operator, you will provide hands-on operational and technical support for an assigned property or complex of buildings in Edmonton.

What You Need to Do

• Perform preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment.
• Monitor building equipment performance and establish and review system trend logs to support efficient operation.
• Oversee and troubleshoot fully integrated computerized Building Automation Systems.
• Diagnose operational issues involving mechanical equipment, automation systems, valves, dampers, overrides, and associated automation interlocks.
• Participate in occupational health and safety programs and support the management of waste, recycling, and hazardous materials in accordance with WHMIS requirements.
• Oversee tenant service requests through to resolution.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors completing tenant improvements, capital projects, and general operational work.
• Conduct risk management inspections and coordinate remedial actions and reporting.
• Assist with annual operating and capital budget preparation and the execution of capital projects.
• Respond to emergency callbacks as required, including after-hours and weekend coverage.
• Provide coverage for shifts during vacation or illness and participate in the on-call rotation as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• 2-5 years of directly relevant work experience.
• Class 5 Power Engineering Certificate.
• WHMIS, Confined Space Entry, and Fall Arrest training/certification.
• Experience with building operations within a commercial environment.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues with tenants and contractors.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and participate in after-hours, weekend, and on-call coverage.
