Building Operator

Your new role

• Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a portfolio of retail properties throughout Calgary.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on building systems and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance or operational issues.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Respond to tenant service requests and maintain strong tenant relationships.
• Assist with capital projects, building upgrades, and ongoing property improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance schedules, and property operating procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as required.
• Travel between multiple properties within the Calgary portfolio.

What you'll need to succeed

• 3+ years of experience in commercial building operations or property maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Experience supporting retail, commercial, or mixed-use properties.
• Proven experience coordinating contractors and vendors.
• Strong customer service skills with experience interacting directly with tenants.
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
