Your new role
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a portfolio of retail properties throughout Calgary.
- Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on building systems and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance or operational issues.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Respond to tenant service requests and maintain strong tenant relationships.
- Assist with capital projects, building upgrades, and ongoing property improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance schedules, and property operating procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as required.
- Travel between multiple properties within the Calgary portfolio.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3+ years of experience in commercial building operations or property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
- Experience supporting retail, commercial, or mixed-use properties.
- Proven experience coordinating contractors and vendors.
- Strong customer service skills with experience interacting directly with tenants.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
