Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Business Analyst with a strong background in investment and financial services. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and investment domain knowledge to support key business initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and business opportunities.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Perform data mapping, data lineage analysis, and data quality assessments.
- Support investment-related initiatives through data analysis and business insights.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across systems and processes.
Required Skills
- 6-10 years of experience in Data Analysis and/or Business Analysis.
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in data extraction and querying.
- Experience working with investment platforms and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to bridge business requirements with technical solutions.

Candidates with experience from the following organizations are highly preferred:
- RBC

- CPPIB
- Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan
- Pension Funds and Investment Management Firms
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- CFA (Level I, II, or III).
- Experience within investment management and financial data ecosystems.
- Exposure to portfolio management, investment operations, and financial reporting.
