Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite end-user computing support in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with desktop imaging, device build and deployment, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services, shipping and receiving of IT assets, and hardware support for HP laptops and desktops. The candidate should be familiar with ITIL processes, ITSM tools, ServiceNow, and Remedy, and possess strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform desktop and laptop imaging, configuration, deployment, and upgrades.
- Build, stage, and deploy new HP laptops and desktop systems for end users.
- Provide IMAC support, including workstation installations, relocations, upgrades, and decommissions.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests through ServiceNow and Remedy.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and asset management activities.
- Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assets, tickets, and support activities.
- Follow ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Desktop Support, IMAC, or End User Computing environments.
- Hands-on experience with desktop imaging and deployment processes.
- Experience supporting HP laptops, desktops, docking stations, and peripherals.
- Working knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
- Experience using ServiceNow and/or Remedy ticketing systems.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with asset management, device shipping, and inventory control.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, or Autopilot.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent desktop support certification.
- Experience working in an enterprise support environment.
