Description:
Our client is looking to hire a Developer – Java/Python (SSO/PingFederate/MFA)for a minimum 6 months.
Your New Role
We are seeking an urgent-need Senior Developer with strong Java and/or Python skills to support Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations using PingFederate for both Employee and Customer platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting authentication handshakes, token validation, and Identity Provider (IdP) integrations, along with strong communication skills to coordinate directly with vendors, third parties, and QE teams during platform upgrades and production support.
Key Responsibilities
· Support Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation and troubleshooting for Employee PingFederate platform.
· Perform log analysis - read and parse logs to identify where authentication handshakes fail.
· Handle token inspection and validation, including debugging token issuance and expiry issues.
· Debug endpoints that communicate with the Identity Provider (IdP) to resolve authentication failures.
· Apply configuration fixes and coordinate directly with vendors for troubleshooting sessions.
· Communicate effectively with third parties to resolve integration and authentication issues.
· Gather technical specifications to submit Intakes, and follow up on Intake status through resolution.
· Support Employee and Customer PingFederate Enterprise Platform upgrades.
· Address technical errors identified during testing of PingFederate platform upgrades.
· Coordinate testing activities with the QE (Quality Engineering) team to validate fixes and upgrades.
· Provide production support and rapid turnaround on urgent authentication-related incidents.
Required Skills
· 7+ years of software development experience in Java and/or Python.
· Hands-on experience with PingFederate or similar SSO/Identity Provider platforms.
· Strong understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
· Experience with log analysis and troubleshooting authentication handshake failures.
· Experience with token handling - inspection, validation, and debugging.
· Ability to debug API/endpoint communication with Identity Providers.
· Experience gathering technical specs and submitting/following up on Intakes.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with vendors and third-party teams.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional and QE teams.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with PingFederate Enterprise Platform upgrades (Employee and/or Customer-facing).
· Experience coordinating vendor troubleshooting calls for identity/authentication issues.
· Familiarity with enterprise identity and access management (IAM) tools.
· Banking or financial services domain experience.
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Soft Skills
· Strong communication and collaboration skills - must be comfortable coordinating with vendors, third parties, and internal QE teams.
· Ability to work independently under urgent timelines.
