Director of Facilities Management

Your new role

• Lead facilities operations across a multi-site residential portfolio in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
• Oversee hands-on preventative maintenance programs, building systems, and property inspections.
• Manage service contracts, vendor relationships, and contractor performance.
• Drive operational improvements and implement best practices across the portfolio.
• Develop and oversee capital planning initiatives in partnership with senior leadership.
• Provide leadership and support to maintenance teams, including supervisory staff and technicians.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.
• Make strategic recommendations to improve efficiency, asset performance, and resident satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with operations and executive leadership on portfolio priorities and long-term planning.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience leading facilities, maintenance, or building operations across multiple properties.
• Strong leadership experience managing maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Strong understanding of residential building operations and maintenance best practices.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with a hands-on, field-based approach.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Residential portfolio experience is strongly preferred.
