Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Architect with strong expertise in designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java-based microservices, cloud architecture, API development, infrastructure automation, and modern data platforms. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, defining technical solutions, and driving best practices across application and cloud architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise-grade applications using Java and cloud-native technologies.
- Lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs and microservices.
- Define and implement cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Architect and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes platforms.
- Build and optimize event-driven and messaging-based integrations.
- Establish infrastructure-as-code practices and deployment automation.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, architecture guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Ensure adherence to security, governance, performance, and operational best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Java application development and architecture.
- Expertise in API design and integration.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with Kafka/MQ or other messaging and event-streaming platforms.
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot.
- Containerization experience using Docker.
- Experience leading or mentoring small development teams.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud security frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
