Hays is partnering with an established, privately owned real estate company with a long-standing presence in Metro Vancouver. The organization owns and manages a diverse portfolio of residential rental communities, along with select retail, office and industrial properties.
This is an opportunity to join a stable and collaborative organization where you will gain exposure beyond leasing and learn more about the wider property management business.
Your new role
You will manage the leasing journey from initial inquiry through to viewings, screening, documentation and move-in. You will also support the wider property team with lease administration, resident requests, vendor coordination and general office management.
The position offers broader exposure than a traditional leasing role. You will work closely with the Property Manager, Building Managers, accounting team, contractors and head office, giving you an opportunity to learn about the wider organization and its portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to leasing inquiries by phone and email
- Coordinating and conducting property and suite tours
- Managing rental applications, resident screening and reference checks
- Preparing leases and ensuring documentation is accurate and complete
- Coordinating move-in and move-out inspections
- Administering parking, storage and bicycle agreements
- Supporting rent collection administration and bank deposits
- Maintaining organized leasing records, files and internal communications
- Coordinating with vendors, contractors and service providers
- Assisting with office management and general administration
- Supporting the Property Manager and onsite team with operational documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve the leasing and resident experience
What you'll need to succeed
The company is open to an experienced Leasing Manager or a strong Leasing Coordinator or Administrator who is ready to take on more ownership and continue developing within the industry.
You will also bring:
- Previous residential leasing or property administration experience
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Confidence managing the leasing process from inquiry through to move-in
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy property environment
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Confidence communicating with residents, vendors and contractors
- Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act would be an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property or work-order management systems
- A willingness to assist with leasing, administration and day-to-day operations
