Working predominantly within the existing-building consulting space, the firm partners with condominium corporations, building owners, property managers, developers, healthcare organizations, and institutional clients to deliver practical engineering solutions focused on mechanical systems, asset management, rehabilitation, capital planning, and long-term building performance.

Your New Role
Our client is currently expanding their mechanical team and is open to speaking with professionals ranging from Mechanical EITs through to Senior Mechanical Engineers. The role offers a diverse mix of:

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of HVAC, plumbing and mechanical building systems.
- Perform building condition assessments, reserve fund studies and capital planning assignments.
- Prepare mechanical engineering reports and technical recommendations.
- Design HVAC, plumbing and hydronic systems for renovation, retrofit and replacement projects.
- Complete mechanical calculations, equipment selection and system sizing.
- Prepare specifications, tender packages and construction documentation.
- Undertake site investigations and field reviews.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs and contractor submissions.
- Support construction administration activities and project delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects and multidisciplinary consultants.
- Participate in budgeting, scheduling and project coordination activities.
- Mentor junior technical staff where appropriate.
What You'll Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- P.Eng., EIT, or actively pursuing professional licensure.
- Experience within consulting engineering environments.
- Building systems experience including HVAC and plumbing design.
- Familiarity with Canadian building projects.
- Experience with existing buildings considered a strong asset.
- Exposure to reserve fund studies, capital planning or building condition assessments considered highly desirable.
- Construction administration and site review experience.
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
