Platform Engineer
Client: Professional Services
Role: Platform Engineer
Duration: 6 months, likely to extend
Rate: $70-$80/hr
Location: Waterloo, ON (Hybrid)
Description:
Our client is looking to hire a Platform Engineer for a minimum 6 months.
Your New Role
API and Data Product Development
- Building and supporting Data Hub APIs.
- Designing Aggregator APIs that consolidate data from multiple enterprise systems into business-consumable views.
- Managing API Management (APIM) onboarding, deployments, and operational support.
- Supporting downstream consumers such as Client Portal, Client Care, and future digital initiatives.
DevOps & Platform Engineering
- Managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Supporting APIOps modernization efforts.
- Deploying and maintaining Azure services, containerized applications, and infrastructure-as-code deployments.
- Driving automation initiatives to improve delivery speed and consistency.
Performance Optimization & Operational Support
- Optimizing batch processing and API performance.
- Managing platform monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and production support.
- Supporting ongoing enhancement requests and operational backlog items while maintaining platform stability and availability.
