Job Title: AWS Platform Engineer
Location: Toronto (Hybrid 3-4 days on-site)
Type: Contract (CAD $50/hr - $55/hr)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Platform Engineer with strong experience in designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud solutions using AWS and Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud-native data services, containerized applications, and API-driven architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK, CDKTF, and Terraform.
- Build and manage data solutions leveraging Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, DynamoDB, RDS, and Lambda.
- Develop and support scalable APIs using AWS API Gateway.
- Deploy and maintain containerized applications using ECS, Application Load Balancers (ALB), and related AWS services.
- Implement and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
- Support multi-cloud environments, including AWS and Microsoft Azure deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and CI/CD processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and performant cloud solutions.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, and CDK for Terraform (CDKTF).
- Strong knowledge of AWS services including Redshift, Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, ALB, DynamoDB, and RDS.
- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud deployments and cloud migration strategies.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, automation, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud security best practices.
- Knowledge of enterprise-scale data platforms and modern cloud-native architectures.
