The successful candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced dynamic environment and is not afraid to drive change and continuous improvement. This role is suited for an individual who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, values teamwork, and is passionate about production stability, operational excellence, and service reliability.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and development teams to handle problem management activities, including designing, building, and maintaining systems while contributing to product selection, schema design, and query tuning. The role involves troubleshooting issues across hardware, software, applications, and network infrastructure while driving opportunities to improve automation, deployment processes, management capabilities, and service visibility.

You will spend a significant portion of your time leading production support initiatives and contributing to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) improvements focused on platform stability. The position will represent the production organization in application design reviews and operational readiness exercises for both new and existing services. Participation in weekend and after-hours on-call rotations is required, with escalation responsibilities during critical incidents.

What You Need to Do:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 1-3 years of practical experience in Production Support or a similar role within a fast-paced, time-critical, and domain-intensive environment.

Experience working within Agile development environments.

Knowledge of financial services environments with the ability to communicate effectively with business users and internal or external stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system concepts, including processes, memory allocation, networking concepts, and command-line utilities.

Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Python, and Perl.

Experience with MongoDB, NoSQL databases, alerting tools, monitoring solutions, and ticketing systems.

Expert-level knowledge of SQL Server, Sybase, and DB2 databases.

Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as AutoSys, Crontab, and Control-M.

Familiarity with Informatica ETL solutions.

Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities and technical challenges.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge and experience within the banking or financial services industry.

Experience with source code repositories, binary repositories, build tools, and CI/CD technologies including Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Docker.

Exposure to data streaming technologies such as Spark and Kafka.

Experience with automation and configuration management tools including Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.

Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and BMC solutions.

Experience with software development and automation initiatives using scripting languages such as Bash and Python or programming languages including C, C#, Java, Scala, and Go.

Awareness of modern software and systems architectures, including load balancing, caching, queuing, distributed systems, microservices, and related reliability concepts.

Experience supporting or operating large-scale online systems is considered a strong asset.

What You'll Get in Return:

You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The organization offers flexible working arrangements, modern office facilities, ongoing learning opportunities, career development, and exposure to leading-edge technologies supporting large-scale enterprise platforms.
