A well-established Edmonton-based General Contractor is looking to add a Project Coordinator to their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for a Project Coordinator who is ready to learn from an established project management group and site teams across a diverse portfolio of commercial construction and renovation projects.
The company has been operating in Alberta for more than 20 years, with experience across commercial interiors, tenant improvements, retail, office, medical, restaurant and renovation projects.
The Role
As Project Coordinator, you will support projects from preconstruction through closeout, taking ownership of coordination, documentation and communication between the project team, consultants, subcontractors and clients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating project documentation, RFIs, submittals and change orders
- Supporting procurement and subcontractor coordination
- Assisting with project schedules, budgets and cost tracking
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Coordinating with consultants, trades and suppliers
- Supporting Project Managers with project planning and execution
- Tracking project progress, deficiencies and closeout documentation
- Helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to a high standard
- Taking on increased project responsibility as experience and capability grow
What We’re Looking For
- 0-2 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or similar commercial construction role
- Experience working with a General Contractor is an asset
- Exposure to commercial interiors, tenant improvements, retail, hospitality, medical or renovation projects would be an asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Someone looking to continue developing toward a Project Manager position
