Your new company
Hays is proud to partner with a well-established Montreal real estate developer and owner known for transforming neighbourhoods. Their communities are built around quality, design and how people live. They're hiring a Property Manager for a newly built mixed-use residential in the West Island.
Your new role
Reporting to executive leadership, you'll own the day-to-day operations and tenant experience of the property. You'll lead a small on-site team and coordinate maintenance, security, janitorial and external contractors. This is an on-site, hands-on role.
- Lead daily on-site operations and hold vendors and contractors accountable
- Deliver hospitality-driven service to residential and commercial tenants
- Own property KPIs, including response time, resolution time and tenant satisfaction
- Generate, prioritize and track work orders through completion
- Conduct regular property inspections and run the preventative maintenance program
- Monitor operating expenses and budgets, and prepare monthly performance reports
- Maintain lease files and property records in line with legal and audit standards
- Support leasing through unit showings, negotiations and lease execution
- Manage tenant move-ins and move-outs
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of residential and commercial property management experience (multifamily, mixed-use, luxury or new construction is an asset)
- Strong knowledge of lease administration, rent escalations and legal compliance
- Good knowledge of Quebec property regulations and the TAL
- Working knowledge of HVAC, fire life safety and building infrastructure
- Experience managing vendors, contractors and operating budgets
- Proficiency in Yardi
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
- A proactive, service-first mindset and a bias for action
