Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

We're partnering with a well-established organization looking to add a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to their growing analytics team.
This role will focus on designing and delivering enterprise reporting solutions, building scalable semantic models, and helping business leaders make better decisions through data. You'll work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into meaningful dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytical solutions.

What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions.
- Build and support enterprise semantic models, reusable datasets, and data models that can be leveraged across multiple business areas.
- Develop complex DAX calculations, KPIs, measures, and time-intelligence reporting.
- Partner with business leaders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
- Implement data governance, security, row-level security (RLS), and reporting standards.
- Optimize report performance, refresh processes, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams on data integrations and analytics initiatives.
- Support Power BI Service administration, workspace management, report deployments, and lifecycle management.
- Contribute to initiatives involving Microsoft Fabric, modern data platforms, and cloud analytics.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience developing Business Intelligence and reporting solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Power BI Desktop
- Power BI Service
- DAX
- Power Query (M)
- SQL
- Data Modeling
- Experience building semantic models and reusable reporting datasets.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and reporting governance standards.
- Experience working with business stakeholders and gathering reporting requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, optimization, and performance tuning capabilities.
Nice to Have
- Microsoft Fabric experience.
- Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Snowflake, or Azure SQL experience.
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, or SSAS.
- Financial services, insurance, investments, or capital markets experience.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
