💰 Rate: $40-$45/hr

We're seeking a Senior Associate, Accounting & Controls to join a growing finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys financial reporting, controls, process improvement, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly and quarterly accounting close activities, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Prepare and post journal entries in SAP while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of legal entity financial statements and investigate reporting variances.
• Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements.
• Coordinate audit requests, prepare supporting documentation, and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and document new finance processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain strong governance practices and financial controls.
• Support strategic finance projects and business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance functions.
• CPA designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau is considered an asset.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience within Financial Services, Asset Management, or Investment Management is considered an asset.
