Senior Quality Engineer (Data Platforms & Cloud)

6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

$65-$80/hr INC

Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite (Downtown Toronto)

Equitable Bank is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support the delivery of enterprise data platforms and cloud-based solutions. This role is focused on quality engineering, test automation, ETL validation, and data pipeline testing across Azure and Google Cloud environments. You'll work closely with data engineers, developers, and product teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across large-scale data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies, test cases, and automated test frameworks
• Validate ETL processes, data transformations, and data pipeline workflows
• Perform SQL-based data validation and database testing
• Test cloud data platforms across Azure and GCP environments
• Execute performance, integration, and regression testing
• Support CI/CD testing processes and automation initiatives
• Identify, track, and resolve defects across enterprise data solutions
• Collaborate with data engineering and development teams to ensure data quality and reliability
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to quality engineering best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of Quality Engineering / QA Automation experience
• 3+ years supporting enterprise data, data warehouse, or ETL environments
• Strong experience with ETL testing, data validation, and data pipeline testing
• Advanced SQL skills for data quality and database validation
• Experience building automated testing frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and data integration
• Experience with Python, Java, or SQL scripting
• Experience working within Agile and CI/CD environments
