Your New Role
As a Technical Support Analyst, you will provide first-level technical support to local and remote users across a range of desktop, mobile, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
You will troubleshoot end-user technology, support hardware deployments and asset refreshes, apply security updates, and maintain accurate technical documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional who combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with a customer-focused approach.
What You Need to Do
- Provide technical support for desktop and mobile productivity tools, including Microsoft Office applications, operating systems, web browsers, and end-user connectivity.
- Support both onsite and remote users with hardware, software, networking, and workstation-related issues.
- Assist with the rollout, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of new technology, including PCs, accessories, mobile phones, tablets, printers, and networking equipment.
- Apply security patches and updates to operating systems, applications, workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and endpoint security software.
- Complete workstation lifecycle activities, including moves, installations, de-installations, asset refreshes, re-imaging, evaluations, and testing.
- Configure and prepare technology assets for deployment to end users.
- Maintain and update the systems support knowledge base for supported hardware, software, and common technical issues.
- Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records.
- Document incidents, resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and asset information within the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to the appropriate internal teams.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 1-2 years of first-level help desk, service desk, desktop support, or technical support experience.
- Previous customer service experience and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
- Advanced knowledge of desktop and mobile productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, and web browsers.
- Knowledge of LAN and wireless networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and general connectivity troubleshooting.
- Well-developed troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience applying operating system and application security patches to workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Knowledge of antivirus, endpoint protection, and security software.
- Experience supporting PC hardware, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and workstation configurations.
- A post-secondary diploma or certificate from a technical college, or a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Microsoft certifications or equivalent technical training.
The following qualifications would be considered an asset:
- Experience configuring Microsoft Intune.
- Experience deploying Windows devices through Windows Autopilot.
- Experience using Deskpro or a comparable IT service management and ticketing platform.
- Experience using Lansweeper for asset discovery, inventory management, or reporting.
What You’ll Get in Return
You will have the opportunity to build your technical support experience within a professional and supportive environment. You will work with a broad range of desktop, mobile, networking, endpoint management, and asset-management technologies while contributing to a positive experience for both onsite and remote users.
The organization offers competitive compensation, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to work with an experienced team that values service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
