Role Overview
We are looking for a bilingual (French/English) Tech Connect Specialist to provide onsite IT support to employees in a fast-paced professional services environment. This role involves supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices, Office 365 applications, network connectivity, and other workplace technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, configuring devices for new hires, managing IT assets, and delivering excellent customer service while ensuring a smooth technology experience for end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and workplace technology issues.
- Set up and configure laptops and equipment for new employees.
- Support Windows, Mac, Office 365, email, wireless connectivity, VPN, and remote access tools.
- Troubleshoot laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other hardware issues.
- Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle activities.
- Respond to support tickets and resolve incidents within service level expectations.
- Assist users with application usage, technology tools, and automation solutions.
- Deliver technical guidance and training to employees when required.
- Maintain accurate asset and support documentation.
- Collaborate with local and remote IT teams on support activities and projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the user experience.
- Support video conferencing and meeting room technologies.
- Participate in after-hours support and maintenance activities when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and company policies.
Must-Have Skills
- Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written).
- 1+ years of technical support or help desk experience.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience supporting Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.
- Experience troubleshooting laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Experience supporting email, networking, wireless connectivity, and remote access technologies.
- Understanding of ITIL processes, incident management, and asset management.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a professional services environment.
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and video conferencing systems.
