Original job description

The Saviynt Application Onboarding and Reporting Consultant will deliver end-to-end onboarding of enterprise applications into the Saviynt Enterprise Identity Cloud platform. The role combines functional analysis, technical integration, testing, documentation, production transition, and analytics reporting to enable access requests, automated provisioning and deprovisioning, identity correlation, entitlement governance, and access certification. The consultant will work closely with application owners, security teams, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and BAU support teams to deliver applications through planned onboarding waves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop wave-wise application onboarding plans, priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and status reports.
  • Conduct discovery workshops with application owners to gather business, technical, security, access, provisioning, and certification requirements.
  • Assess and classify applications by integration type and complexity, including Active Directory, delimited file, JDBC/database, REST/SOAP API, SCIM, SaaS, legacy, disconnected, and custom integrations.
  • Prepare solution design documents, data mappings, account and entitlement models, correlation rules, approval flows, provisioning logic, and integration prerequisites.
  • Configure Saviynt security systems, endpoints, connections, account and entitlement imports, access request forms, workflows, jobs, rules, and notifications.
  • Implement automated provisioning, modification, enablement, disablement, deprovisioning, and reconciliation based on approved requirements.
  • Configure application-level access certification requirements, reviewer hierarchy, campaign scope, reminders, escalations, and closure criteria.
  • Create test strategies, test plans, test cases, test data, traceability, and evidence for unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate testing with application teams; investigate integration defects, provisioning failures, data-quality issues, and reconciliation exceptions through closure.
  • Support release planning, change approvals, cutover, production deployment, validation, hypercare, and knowledge transition to BAU support.
  • Create and maintain HLD/LLD documents, configuration workbooks, SOPs, operational runbooks, support handover packs, and known-error records.
  • Develop Saviynt analytics and actionable reports using appropriate queries to track onboarding progress, data quality, failed jobs, provisioning exceptions, orphan or dormant accounts, certification status, and control compliance.
  • Produce weekly and monthly dashboards covering application pipeline, milestones, risks, blockers, defects, SLA performance, adoption, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure onboarding artifacts and evidence meet security, audit, compliance, and change-management requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize connector patterns, automate repetitive activities, improve data quality, and reduce onboarding cycle time.

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Saviynt EIC or Saviynt Security Manager in application onboarding and IGA implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of identity governance, access request, provisioning and deprovisioning, account and entitlement aggregation, identity correlation, workflows, rules, certifications, and analytics.
  • Experience configuring REST, SCIM, Active Directory, JDBC/database, delimited-file, and disconnected application integrations.
  • Working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, SQL, XML, OAuth, service accounts, secure connectivity, and data mapping.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot Saviynt analytics queries, reports, actionable controls, jobs, and integration configurations.
  • Understanding of Joiner-Mover-Leaver processes, role-based access control, least privilege, Segregation of Duties, orphan accounts, and dormant accounts.
  • Experience with testing, defect management, release and change management, production cutover, and hypercare.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM platform and Agile delivery tools such as Jira.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • Typically 4–8 years of IAM/IGA experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on Saviynt application onboarding or implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering connected and disconnected applications from requirements through production handover.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, stakeholder-management, and written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple applications and dependencies simultaneously in a distributed onshore/offshore delivery model.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Saviynt IGA certification or relevant Saviynt implementation training.
  • Experience with identity analytics, access-risk reporting, SoD controls, certification campaigns, and application adoption metrics.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, cloud platforms, PAM, SSO, and enterprise security controls.
  • ITIL, Agile, cybersecurity, cloud, or identity-management certification.
  • Experience in regulated enterprise environments and audit-evidence preparation.

Key Deliverables and Success Measures

  • Approved onboarding plan and solution design for each assigned application.
  • Completed configuration, testing evidence, production deployment, and operational handover within agreed timelines.
  • Accurate account, entitlement, ownership, correlation, provisioning, and certification data in Saviynt.
  • Timely, actionable reporting on onboarding progress, risks, blockers, defects, exceptions, and control outcomes.
  • Minimal post-go-live defects and successful closure of hypercare and knowledge-transfer activities.
  • Compliance with agreed security, quality, documentation, change, and audit standards.
