Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Informatica Developer with a proven track record of 7+ years in enterprise data integration and data warehousing. In this role, you will lead the design, development, implementation, and optimization of complex Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) data pipelines. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, data architects, and DBAs to transform raw business data into scalable, high-performing data assets.
The ideal candidate possesses expert-level knowledge of data modeling architectures, advanced performance tuning, and structural database development.
Key Responsibilities
- ETL Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Informatica client tools including Designer, Workflow Manager, and Workflow Monitor.
- Requirements Translation: Analyze complex source systems and business requirements to prepare Technical Design Documents (TSD) and map end-to-end data flows.
- Data Modeling: Assist in structural dimensional modeling (Star and Snowflake schemas), developing high-performing Fact and Dimension tables.
- Data Quality & Cleansing: Implement complex data quality rules, profiling, validation, and standardization using tools like Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
- Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and optimize Informatica mappings, database queries, and system bottlenecks to ensure high-performance execution within narrow SLA windows.
- Automation & Scripting: Write robust UNIX/Linux shell scripts for file management, FTP processes, and automating complex pre/post-session tasks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with DBAs and DevOps infrastructure teams to securely deploy code across environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
- Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and guide junior developers on ETL best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of core IT experience specialized in Data Integration and Enterprise Data Warehousing lifecycle development.
- Informatica Toolset: Deep expertise in Informatica PowerCenter (9.x/10.x) or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS / IDMC).
- Database & SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata, with strong capabilities writing complex PL/SQL or T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Operating Systems: Strong command of Unix/Linux environments and Shell Scripting.
- Data Warehousing Concepts: Thorough understanding of OLAP/OLTP systems, Erwin data modeling, and handling Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
- Scheduling Tools: Experience with enterprise scheduling platforms like Autosys, Control-M, or Tidal.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Informatica MDM: Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM (Master Data Management).
- Cloud Migrations: Experience migrating legacy PowerCenter environments to modern Cloud Data Warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Certifications: Active Informatica Developer or Architecture Professional Certifications.
