Job Title: Branch Manager

Work Setting: In-Person

Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday; Day Shift

Location Details: St. Thomas Ontario

Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Vice President or designate, the Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the St. Thomas branch. This role provides strategic and operational oversight for branch staff, temporary employees, client relationships, recruitment activities, sales growth, financial performance, and day-to-day branch operations. The Branch Manager will foster a high-performance culture while ensuring exceptional customer service, legislative compliance, and the achievement of branch objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

In-person role operating in a team environment:

Manage human resource functions, including recruiting, selection, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, discipline, and employee record maintenance.
Oversee branch staff and support employee engagement, career development, payroll administration, conflict resolution, and workplace health and safety.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through service reviews, forecasting, quality checks, site visits, and staffing needs assessments.
Directly manage major and strategic client accounts while supporting account management activities across the branch.
Manage branch administration, reporting, database maintenance, employee hour tracking, and operational metrics.
Administer WSIB claims management and modified work programs.
Support all aspects of temporary staffing operations, including recruitment, assignment management, employee relations, payroll, and quality assurance.
Drive business growth through sales activities, community involvement, customer acquisition, account expansion, pricing strategies, and achievement of revenue goals.
Develop and execute strategic and operational plans that support profitable branch growth.
Prepare annual branch budgets and business plans while monitoring financial performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable legislative requirements.
Lead and coach employees to achieve branch objectives while supporting the overall corporate strategy.
Monitor branch performance against established goals and implement corrective actions as required.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Ensure adequate staffing, resources, equipment, and infrastructure are available to achieve branch objectives.
Develop innovative initiatives that improve internal efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor industry trends and market developments and communicate relevant insights to branch staff and executive leadership.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Business Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Human Resources principles and practices.
Minimum five years of leadership experience within the staffing industry.
Demonstrated success in sales, strategic planning, business development, negotiation, and change management.

Skills & Experience

Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and operational management abilities.
Proven ability to build collaborative, high-performing, team-oriented environments.
Experience developing marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and public relations initiatives.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
