We are looking for a creative, team-oriented landscape architect to join our Urban Design, Planning & Landscape Architecture studio in Vancouver, BC. This position requires a versatile professional who is eager to collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams. Our design teams work with a diverse range of clients to create vibrant places ranging from urban parks, plazas and streetscapes to health or education campuses, and mobility corridors. Growth and advancement opportunities will be dependent on the successful candidate’s ability to demonstrate skills and assume responsibility.
In the role of Landscape Architect, we'll count on you to:
- Develop site and public realm design through all phases of projects, from master planning and concept development through construction documents and construction observation.
- Create illustrative concept drawings using 2D and 3D digital illustration tolls, free-hand drawing, and digital color rendering.
- Participate in zoning and site plan approvals, public engagement, design charrettes, development programming, design review and implementation.
- Provide construction observation, including field observation of landscape installation and plant selection.
- Coordinate workload to ensure deadlines are met, reviewing documents for areas of conflict with other disciplines.
- Collaborate with architects, planners, engineers and other disciplines on commercial and institutional-scale planning and design projects.
- Meet with client representatives as needed.
- Provide excellent communication, time management, graphic and organizational skills.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years' experience working as a landscape architect / landscape designer within the region. Experience working in other regions across Canada in addition to BC is also considered an asset.
- Professional registration, or eligibility for professional registration as a Landscape Architect in British Columbia.
- Experience and passion for sustainable and/or regenerative design.
- Strong planning and design skills, with experience in urban and institutional-scale projects.
- Experience with the full range of planning and design phases including site analysis, community and site planning, conceptual development, grading, construction documentation and observation.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and experience working with Revit in construction documentation.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering with programs such as Rhino, Sketchup, Grasshopper, VRay, Lumion.
- Experience with Land FX, Bluebeam Revu, and AI-assisted design visualization and rendering is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Knowledge of local plant materials, terminology and planting design in urban settings.
- Excellent communication, time management, graphic and organizational skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
- Professional registration
- Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD and Photoshop
- Able to prepare site plans and understand the principles of grading and drainage
