Behind every successful manufacturing operation is a leader who keeps production moving, suppliers aligned, and customers satisfied.
We're partnering with a growing Canadian manufacturer that has built its reputation on quality, reliability, and continuous innovation. As the company enters its next phase of growth, it is seeking a Purchasing Manager who can bring strategic thinking, operational discipline, and strong supplier partnerships to a critical leadership role.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than purchase orders and spreadsheets. You'll have a direct seat at the table, influence key business decisions, and help shape the future of the procurement and supply chain function.

- Developing sourcing strategies that improve quality, cost, and delivery performance
- Ensuring uninterrupted material flow to support production schedules
- Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks before they impact operations
- Managing inventory levels, replenishment strategies, and working capital performance
- Driving cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives
- Collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Operations teams on new products and process improvements
- Improving purchasing processes, reporting, and ERP data integrity
- Building a scalable procurement function capable of supporting continued company growth

✅ Increase inventory accuracy and inventory turns
✅ Create greater visibility into procurement performance and supply chain risks
✅ Become a trusted business partner across the organization
Who You Are
You are equal parts strategist and operator.
You understand that great procurement isn't about buying cheaper. It's about building resilient supplier networks, anticipating challenges, and creating competitive advantage through operational excellence.
We're looking for someone who brings:
- 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain leadership experience
- Manufacturing experience in a production-driven environment
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory planning
- Solid understanding of sourcing, demand planning, and supply chain management
- Analytical mindset with strong Excel and reporting capabilities
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline
- SCMP, CPSM, CSCP, or other supply chain designations are considered assets
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is a chance to join an organization where your work will be highly visible and immediately impactful.
You'll be part of a collaborative leadership team that values initiative, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement. The environment is entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and focused on growth, giving you the opportunity to influence decisions and leave a lasting mark on the business.
