The Practice

Active patient panel of 1,064 patients

363 aged 0–35
304 aged 36–60
397 aged 61+

Continuity of care prioritized for a smooth transition

Pre-booked visits with 4–5 same-day appointments

Current schedule: 9.5 sessions/week (Mon–Thurs 8:00–17:00, Fri 8:00–13:00)

No buy-in required

Keep an eye out for a rare white Kermode or “spirit” bear. Terrace is a vibrant, entrepreneurial and friendly community with a medical catchment area of 31000, clean air, affordable life and housing. Historically a forestry industry, Terrace has grown into a regional service town with government and educational social services as the biggest employers as well as strong presence of construction, trades, transportation and growth in manufacturing and tourism. There are three secondary and six elementary schools, one long-distance education and one French emersion, a Northwest Community College campus and a University of British Columbia campus.

Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients in November 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, it is a center for trauma services, acute care, surgical services pathology, radiology, clinical support and pharmacy services for the Northwest region. The hospital staff prides itself on delivering culturally safe care to our Indigenous populations.

The new hospital will also include a Tier 3 neonatal intensive care unit and special care nursery, which will provide community-based antenatal and postnatal services, education and parenting support to pregnant individuals.

The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program and residents through the UBC Family Medicine Residency Program.
