Original job description

Role and Facility Information

Physicians Wanted – Medical Centre | Austin Heights, Coquitlam

The Medical Centre is a brand-new multidisciplinary medical clinic currently under construction in Austin Heights, Coquitlam, with an anticipated opening in November 2026, depending on construction timelines.

We are creating a modern, physician-friendly environment designed to be somewhere both physicians and patients genuinely enjoy spending time. The clinic is exceptionally bright and beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows, abundant natural light, gorgeous views toward the Fraser River, and a large outdoor patio.

The clinic will include 8 examination rooms plus 2 additional consultation rooms, with capacity to comfortably accommodate at least three full-time physicians.

We currently have two rheumatologists joining the practice and are looking to grow into a collaborative multidisciplinary clinic with a combination of family physicians and other specialists. This will provide opportunities for internal referrals and collaborative care while allowing physicians to maintain independence in how they practise.

Why Us?

Brand-new, thoughtfully designed medical space

Central Austin Heights location

Convenient access from Highway 1

Close to Royal Columbian Hospital

Good patient parking

Located within a well-established, multigenerational community with a strong patient base

8 examination rooms + 2 consultation rooms

Floor-to-ceiling windows and extensive natural light

Beautiful Fraser River views

Large outdoor patio

Experienced clinic manager

Administrative and billing support

Competitive and negotiable overhead split

Currently using Profile and Accuro EMRs, with openness to other EMR arrangements

Flexibility to accommodate physicians with special areas of interest

Capacity for small office-based procedures

Opportunity for collaboration and cross-referral between primary care and specialists

We will also be incorporating an adjoining wellness clinic, creating opportunities for physicians who are interested in offering or becoming involved with complementary, preventative, or private medical services. Participation is entirely optional.

Our goal is to build a high-quality, collegial medical community rather than simply rent out exam rooms - a clinic where physicians have strong administrative support, flexibility in how they practise, and the benefit of working alongside physicians from different disciplines.

Family physicians and specialists interested in joining Our Medical Centre are welcome to reach out to discuss full-time, part-time, or other practice arrangements.
