We invite you to consider the growing city of Mission for your next job as a family physician. Locum, part-time, and full-time physicians welcome.
Mission is a unique city of 40,000 people that will allow you to enjoy a full-scope family practice of a small community but also provide easy access to all the outdoor and urban amenities you and your family need. It provides easy access to world class outdoor activities including ski hills, biking, hiking, and access to lakes within minutes. You can also enjoy the city life with numerous larger cities close by, including Vancouver, which is only a 1 hour drive. Mission is also a place where you will find the most affordable real estate in the lower mainland. Lakeside living or owning an acreage is affordable in Mission!
Mission has a collegial team of physicians working in several clinics. Mission Memorial Hospital and the attached facilities provide an array of services, including 24-hour ER services, 30 acute care beds, 30 rehab beds, palliative care hospice, and a 130-bed residential care center. Outside of the hospital, we have several well-run clinics that any physician is welcome to join including an attachment clinic, youth clinic, and maternity clinic.
With The Opportunities To Work In So Many Areas, There Is Much Higher Income Potential! We Encourage Physicians To Get Involved In As Little Or As Much As They Feel Comfortable. There Are Opportunities For Family Physicians To Work In The Following Areas
Emergency Department
In-patient hospital care
Hospitalist Program
Palliative hospice care for your own patients
Residential care
Out patient clinics including maternity clinic, youth clinic, and attachment clinic
One clinic in the community is on a population-based funding model

Option of working in a acute and sub-acute setting. Inpatient care is a walk across the street to the hospital.
