Role and Facility Information

Family Physician Opportunity – CGB Medical, Kelowna, BC

Kelowna offers an exceptional quality of life for physicians seeking both professional opportunity and an outstanding outdoor lifestyle. Nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna provides year-round recreation - from world-class downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter to hiking, mountain biking, and championship golf in the warmer months. In summer, the stunning waters of Okanagan Lake invite boating, paddleboarding, and swimming, all just minutes from home. With its mild climate, vibrant community, and breathtaking natural surroundings, Kelowna is an ideal place to build a rewarding medical career while enjoying an active, balanced lifestyle.

This is an excellent opportunity to assume a well-established practice from a retiring female longitudinal family physician. The panel includes approximately 1,000 patients and is focused primarily on office-based and virtual care, providing a manageable and rewarding scope of comprehensive family practice.

The practice is exceptionally well organized, with detailed patient profiles, demographics, and recall tasks thoughtfully maintained in the EMR, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition for the incoming physician. The patient population is stable and well cared for, allowing the new physician to step into a mature, structured practice environment.

The local community hospital offers strong specialist support, with most specialties and subspecialties available, along with state-of-the-art diagnostic services and treatment facilities. This collaborative medical environment allows family physicians to practice with confidence and excellent access to consultation when needed.

There are also numerous opportunities to broaden clinical interests and supplement income. These include surgical assisting, expanding long-term care services to non-panel patients, providing care at the Urgent and Primary Care Centre, and participating in palliative care services.

This position offers the rare combination of a well-run established panel, supportive medical community, and flexibility to shape your practice according to your interests.

Why Work at CGB Medical?

CGB Medical is known for its supportive culture, collaborative team environment, and commitment to providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Physicians who join CGB Medical benefit from a workplace that values autonomy while offering strong administrative and collegial support. Our clinic is modern, efficient, and designed to make your workday smoother - allowing you to focus on what matters most: exceptional patient care.

At CGB Medical, you will be part of a thoughtful and respectful physician group that emphasizes work–life balance, professional growth, and sustainable practice models. Whether you are early in your career or seeking a new chapter in a mature medical setting, you’ll find the resources, mentorship, and flexibility you need to practice medicine your way. With well-structured clinic processes, experienced support staff, and a culture that prioritizes physician well‑being, CGB Medical offers a professional home where you can thrive.

Take the Next Step
