Role and Facility Information

Kamloops

Set amid sandstone canyons, rolling grasslands, and magnificent evergreen woods, Kamloops is a flourishing city of 100,000 with an energetic character set against a stunning natural setting.

Known for our welcoming spirit, our city has earned its moniker as the Tournament Capital of Canada, offering big city amenities including excellent eateries, unique shops and exceptional recreation facilities. We take immense pride in our dynamic arts community, and annual events including the Kamloops Film Festival, Wildlights at the BC Wildlife Park, and Music in the Park.

With eight beautiful provincial parks and over 100 lakes nearby, our city offers fantastic opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking and camping. With mountain, parkland and desert fairways dotting the landscape here, we’re fast becoming Canada’s premier golf destination. Come winter, Sun Peaks Resort transforms into a mecca for skiers and snowboarders, just a quick 45-minute drive out of the city.

With 300 sun-filled days and the warmest people you’ll ever meet, Kamloops is the perfect spot to set down roots and live life with passion.
