Family Physician – Leroux Medical Clinic, Fernie, BC

About Us

Leroux Medical Clinic is a well-established healthcare clinic committed to providing exceptional medical care to the vibrant community of Fernie, BC. We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Physicians to join our team. At Leroux Medical Clinic, we believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative environment with our allied care providers, medical staff and physicians.

Our clinic has recently undergone a renovation, providing each new physician with their own dedicated exam room and charting space to settle in comfortably. At Leroux, we’ve got your back with excellent administrative and billing support, plus hands-on mentorship that really makes a difference. You'll be working alongside a seasoned clinic owner and a skillful, supportive office manager and staff that will lend their expertise in billing and panel management - creating the perfect environment for you to thrive as a new physician or seasoned veteran.

Position Overview

As a family physician at Leroux Medical Clinic, you will deliver primary and long-term care to our patients. Clinic hours are flexible, accommodating both full and part time work arrangements. In addition to your clinic work, you will participate in emergency coverage rotation with a community of collegial physicians at the Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie. The shifts are 8 hours, approximately 7 to 8 times a month. The Elk Valley Hospital is a 20-bed facility, offering a range of services including emergency care, inpatient services, and diagnostic imaging.

Why Fernie?

Fernie is located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, on the unceded and traditional territory of the Ktunaxa people. Fernie is a charming mountain town that offers an exceptional quality of life. Known for its stunning natural beauty, Fernie is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The area is world-renowned for its skiing, mountain biking, and fishing, offering year-round activities for every level of adventurer. Fernie's alpine is a skier's dream, and its trails draw mountain bikers from around the globe. For anglers, the Elk River provides some of the best fly-fishing experiences in the world. Living in Fernie means enjoying a balanced lifestyle with a close-knit community feel. Whether you're looking to raise a family or simply seeking a change of pace, Fernie provides the perfect backdrop for both professional and personal fulfillment.

How To Apply

If you are a dedicated Physician looking to make a meaningful impact in a beautiful and welcoming community, we would love to hear from you. Join us at Leroux Medical Clinic and become a part of the Fernie community, where your expertise and compassion will be valued and appreciated.
