Role and Facility Information
The Department of Medicine at Eagle Ridge Hospital (ERH) is recruiting one general internist skilled in the management of complex inpatients. Responsibilities will include a combination of clinical care, teaching, and quality improvement with the mix of responsibilities depending on the successful candidate’s background and job profile. Competitive candidates will possess outstanding clinical, communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills that enable them to work collaboratively with other physicians, learners, hospital staff and administrators.
The new Internist hired will join the 2 existing physicians in the running an established High Acuity Unit/Monitored Care Unit(MCU). Responsibilities will be for both new consult and MRP rounding. Interested physician need to be comfortable with critical care skills to cover our MCU, cardiology to cover the telemetry patients and general internal medicine. On average the call will see 3-5 new patients per day. There will also be 12-15 patients to round on.
MCU Internist will also staff the IM Rapid Access Clinic (RAC). All RAC overhead including office space and MOA covered by the hospital.
The fee model will be a mix of fee for service and MOCAP.
Separate hospitalist service will look after majority of other admitted medical inpatients, with excellent partnerships between internists and hospitalists.
