As a physician led organization with a proven management team of experienced executives, HEALWELL AI is executing a strategy centered around developing and acquiring technology and clinical sciences capabilities that complement the company's roadmap.

Finance Manager

We are seeking a proactive and experienced finance professional to join our team and play a key role in scaling and transforming HEALWELL AI's global finance function. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Finance Manager will lead initiatives to optimize the Company's financial close, consolidation and reporting processes across a growing global, multi-entity organization. This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving a best-in-class finance function, including accelerating the month-end close, enhancing the global consolidation process, and improving the structure and quality of financial reporting to better support business decision-making.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Finance, IT and business leaders to optimize our ERP environment, leverage automation and AI-enabled solutions, and implement scalable reporting processes that improve efficiency, accuracy and insight. In addition to overseeing key aspects of financial reporting, the Finance Manager will develop management dashboards and performance reporting using Microsoft Power BI and serve as a trusted business partner to multiple operating divisions.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, driving change and improving processes. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical accounting foundation, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to modernize finance operations. They will be highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, acquisitive, multi-stakeholder environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS.

Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and provide insight to support decision-making by senior management.

Assist in the development of financial reports and dashboards for monitoring key SaaS performance indicators (KPIs).

Accounting and Treasury Operations:

Supervise and review the work of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

Provide guidance on revenue recognition policies to the accounting team and explain these policies to business unit leaders

Ensure adherence to accounting principles, policies, and procedures and standardization of policies across multiple business units.

Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Support the cash flow planning and management process to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and growth

Manage relationships with financial institutions

Financial Controls and Compliance:

Assist in the establishment and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial data.

Ensure compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements.

Assist with external audits, including providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with the finance team to support the quarterly / annual budgeting process.

Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections.

Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the financial month end close process

Optimize the use of the accounting system (Netsuite) by standardizing the Chart of Accounts and automating key financial reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies, as needed.

Training and Development:

Mentor and develop finance team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Stay current with accounting and financial industry trends and regulations and share insights with the team.

M&A:

Support the integration process for new acquisitions and assist in developing an integration playbook.

Professional Qualifications

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead by example.

He/She brings a University degree preferably in finance or business with an accounting designation (CA, CPA) and/or an MBA with a strong working knowledge of IFRS GAAP. Public company experience and/or experience taking a company public is highly desirable.

7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

Flexible, adaptable, and agile style and can adjust to multiple demands and a changing, fast paced, high-pressure environment.

Takes responsibility for assigned tasks and shows initiative to suggest improvements to systems, processes, and procedures.

Highly organized, the ideal candidate manages his/her time well and brings projects in on time and on budget. He/She will have excellent communication skills and will be adept at explaining complex ideas and concepts in simple terms and ensuring open lines of communication throughout the organization.

He/She is not afraid to ask new questions and challenge the status quo in the best interests of the business and is skilled at persuading experienced managers to think about the business differently.
