Helical Pile Solutions (HPS) is seeking experienced and motivated construction professionals for long-term utility, industrial, infrastructure, renewable energy, transmission line, and substation foundation projects throughout Western Canada. The Drill Rig Operator is responsible for the safe operation of various types of foundation drill rigs and construction equipment.

The Drill Rig Operator is responsible for the safe operation of various types of foundation drill rigs and construction equipment.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Operate drilling equipment for foundation construction
- Install large-diameter drilled caissons and helical pile foundations
- Support transmission line, substation, industrial, and infrastructure projects
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Foundation drilling
- Large-diameter caissons
- Deep foundation construction
- Utility, civil, or industrial projects
- Class 5 Driver's License (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor construction environment
- Field safety tickets including First Aid, H2S, CSTS, and Ground Disturbance are an asset
- This is a safety sensitive position and will require candidates to comply with HPS drug and alcohol program
- Construction environment
- Outdoors, including travel to remote locations
- Exposure to loud noises
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Physical elements include bending, twisting, crouching, kneeling, standing for long periods of time, lifting weights up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be always worn
- Accommodations while on a project are arranged by HPS in either a camp setting or hotel as determined by project requirements
