helloDarwin is a tech-enabled advisory firm that helps Canadian businesses find and obtain grants, tax credits and other government funding. Based in Montreal, our team of 60 has supported hundreds of organizations since 2017. About twenty consultants work exclusively on non-dilutive funding for our 300+ active clients.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Account Manager to take charge of a portfolio of active clients. The role is built around the client relationship: understanding each company's business challenges, identifying the funding programs that fit, coordinating the work with our analysts and making sure clients get real, measurable value from our support.

Our clients are manufacturing, food & beverage, energy and innovation-driven companies generating $10M to $50M+ in annual revenue across Canada. They're working on growth, innovation, export or digital transformation projects. As their main point of contact at helloDarwin, you have a direct impact on retention and portfolio growth.

This position is a good fit for someone with an advisory background (accounting firm, professional services firm or an equivalent in-house role) who is comfortable in strategic conversations with business owners and executives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and grow a portfolio of active clients, acting as their main point of contact throughout the engagement
Lead discovery meetings to understand each client's projects, financial priorities and operational challenges
Identify applicable grants and tax credits and coordinate application preparation with the analyst team
Present funding plans to clients and guide them through the decisions that follow
Quantify project value and clearly present the expected financial impact
Drive retention through regular follow-ups, renewals and spotting new mandates within the portfolio
Keep HubSpot up to date (statuses, notes, next steps)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

3+ years of experience in account management, advisory services or a client-facing B2B role
Background in consulting: accounting firm, professional services firm or strategy consulting
Proven ability to lead executive-level conversations with business owners and senior leaders
Solid understanding of business financing: grants, tax credits, financial planning

Assets: knowledge of Canadian government programs (SR&ED, CDAE, C3i, provincial and federal programs) and experience in a role where retention and renewals were measured objectives.

Le rôle

Nous cherchons un·e gestionnaire de comptes sénior pour prendre en charge un portefeuille de clients actifs. Le rôle est centré sur la relation client : comprendre les enjeux d’affaires de chaque entreprise, cibler les programmes de financement pertinents, coordonner le travail avec les analystes et s’assurer que les clients retirent une valeur concrète de l’accompagnement.

Nos clients sont des entreprises manufacturières, agroalimentaires, énergétiques et innovantes générant entre 10M$ et 50M$+ de revenus annuels à travers le Canada. Elles mènent des projets de croissance, d’innovation, d’exportation ou de transformation numérique. La personne en poste est leur interlocuteur principal chez helloDarwin, ce qui influence directement la rétention et la croissance du portefeuille.

Le poste convient à une personne issue du conseil (cabinet comptable, firme de services professionnels ou rôle équivalent en entreprise), à l’aise dans des conversations stratégiques avec des dirigeants d’entreprise.

RESPONSABILITÉS

Gérer et faire croître un portefeuille de clients actifs et agir comme point de contact principal tout au long de l’accompagnement

Mener les rencontres d’analyse pour comprendre les projets, les priorités financières et les enjeux opérationnels de chaque client

Cibler les subventions et crédits d’impôt applicables et coordonner le montage des demandes avec l’équipe d’analystes

Présenter les plans de financement aux clients et les accompagner dans les décisions qui en découlent

Chiffrer la valeur des projets et présenter les retombées financières attendues de façon claire

Travailler la rétention : suivis réguliers, renouvellements et repérage de nouveaux mandats dans le portefeuille

Assurer un suivi rigoureux dans HubSpot (statuts, notes, prochaines étapes)

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

3 ans et plus d’expérience en gestion de comptes, en service-conseil ou dans un rôle client-facing B2B

Parcours en conseil : cabinet comptable, firme de services professionnels ou consultation stratégique

Capacité démontrée à mener des conversations de niveau exécutif avec des dirigeants d’entreprise

Bonne compréhension du financement d’entreprise : subventions, crédits d’impôt, planification

Rôle 100% bilingue, obligatoire pour le poste

Atouts : connaissance des programmes gouvernementaux canadiens (RS&DE, CDAE, C3i, programmes provinciaux et fédéraux), expérience dans un rôle où la rétention et le renouvellement étaient des objectifs mesurés.
