Original job description

S'more about the team

Our HelloTech organisation is HelloFresh Group's global technology backbone - more than 1,000 people building the digital products and internal platforms that power our end-to-end food experience. As part of the IT team in Toronto, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our Google Workspace environment running smoothly for employees across the Group.

You'll act as the escalation point for tricky Workspace issues, help colleagues get the most out of the tools they use every day (including the AI features built into Workspace), and continuously look for ways to make support faster and more self-service.

Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for

Serve as the primary escalation point for L2 Google Workspace queries - Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Sites, Meet, and related core services.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex, non-standard user issues, ensuring fast and clear communication back to the requester.
Support employees in adopting Gemini for Google Workspace - answering questions, sharing best practices, and helping teams get productivity value out of AI-assisted features in Gmail, Docs, Slides, and Meet.
Handle day-to-day data support tasks: restoring files and folders, and transferring file ownership when employees leave or change teams.
Analyse recurring ticket trends and propose improvements to support processes, SOPs, and self-service documentation.
Write and maintain clear internal documentation and knowledge base articles for both end users and fellow IT staff.
Liaise with Google support and other third-party vendors on issues that need escalation beyond L2.
All other duties, as assigned

Sound a-peeling? Here's what we're looking for

Hard skills

Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace in a production environment, ideally at mid-level scope.
Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace's core apps (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Sites, Meet) and their admin-side configuration, sharing settings, and IAM controls.
Practical experience with user- and group-level administration - provisioning, org units, and account lifecycle management.
Working understanding of email fundamentals: DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), routing, and IMAP/SMTP concepts.
Professional Google Workspace Administrator Certification (required).
Genuine interest in and hands-on familiarity with Gemini and other AI features in Google Workspace - you're comfortable exploring new AI tooling and helping others adopt it.

Soft skills

Advanced Problem-Solving: Demonstrates strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
Excellent Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
Strong Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other IT personnel.
Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and business impact.

Let’s cut to the cheese, this is why you'll love it here

Box Discount - Amazing discounts on 1 box per week! 75% discount on weekly HelloFresh and Chefs Plate meal kits AND 50% off weekly Factor meal box.
Health & Wellness - Health & Dental benefits from day 1, a Health Spending Account, unlimited access to the Headspace app to meet your self-care needs, and 25% discount on GoodLife fitness memberships!
RRSP Matching - Competitive RRSP matching program offered
Vacation & PTO - Time off is also an important part of self-care! We offer generous vacation and PTO to help you create a good work-life balance.
Family Benefits - A parental leave top-up program for expectant parents.
Growth & Development - We support your career progression and invest in your continued learning through experiences and initiatives owned by our dedicated L&D team
Work Hard & Have Fun - From team socials to engaging company days, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to experience the fun!
Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives - With impactful ERG’s like FreshPride, Women Empowered and LIMES, we are committed to our diversity, equity & inclusion efforts.
Food Puns - this one is kind of a big dill if you haven’t already noticed. We even have some punny meeting room names!

Flexible Hybrid Approach

At HelloFresh, we know that flexible work arrangements are essential in enabling you to do your best work, while balancing your personal and life needs. Offering remote work flexibility, along with the opportunity to interact and collaborate in the office are all a part of creating a great employee experience.

To meet these needs, we are pleased to provide Flexible Hybrid work. Flexible Hybrid is a people-first approach that is based on choice, trust, personalization, and empowers teams to choose when and how often they work from the office and work from home, in addition to team days and company days. This means a minimum of 2 days in office per week, with most teams in office between 2-3 days a week.

HelloFresh Canada uses AI-integrated technology to help us process and evaluate applications more efficiently. This includes tools that screen and assess candidate qualifications based on the requirements for this role. While these tools assist our workflow, all final selection decisions are made by our hiring team.

This is a posting for an existing vacancy. We are actively seeking to fill this position.
