Original job description

S'more about the team

The Senior Manager of New Concepts & Add-ons (Canada) leads HelloFresh Canada's new concepts and add-on portfolio, from strategic partner development through to commercial launch. This role owns end-to-end sourcing strategy for finished goods, the commercialization of meal kit and ready-to-eat products in Canada and supports the development pipeline. This is a hands-on, fast-moving builder who can turn a newer program into a dedicated, scalable function.

You'll work closely with our product and culinary teams across all brands, and with operations, food safety and quality, regulatory, and finance to drive projects forward. You are an agile, fast-learning project leader who thrives on driving change across an organization, with a focus on impact and action.

Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for

Own the commercialization of Meal Kit & RTE add-on & new concept products in Canada, including supporting business cases, pricing, MOQ and supplier economics and launch plans that meet volume and margin targets.
Partner closely with Product, Culinary, Operations, FSQA, and Commercial teams to translate new product concepts into sourced, qualified, manufacturable finished goods - bridging culinary vision and operational reality.
Own the end-to-end finished goods sourcing process for new product development - from co-manufacturer identification, RFP and qualification through pilot runs, FSQA sign-off, commercial negotiation, and successful first-ship commercialization.
Balance customer experience, operational complexity, food safety requirements and total cost of ownership when onboarding new finished goods SKUs and co-manufacturing partners.
Lead high-value commercial negotiations and contract management, and set cost optimization and margin targets across the portfolio
Build supply resilience across co-manufacturers and suppliers, including dual-sourcing, capacity contingency planning, performance SLAs and corrective action
Drive continuous improvement of supplier onboarding frameworks and category guidelines, and use data to inform strategic decisions
Deliver the New Concepts pipeline for 2027 and beyond, with clear milestones, prioritization and tradeoffs against BAU and supply stability work.
Leverage data and analytics to build data driven solutions and inform strategic decision making.
All other duties, as assigned

Sound a-peeling? Here's what we're looking for

Total of 5-6+ in strategic sourcing, category management, product development or supply chain operations - with direct experience sourcing finished goods, managing co-manufacturers, or commercializing new products through third-party manufacturing partners in the food or consumer goods industry
A successful track record of product innovation and leadership in a cross-functional stage gate process
Strong quantitative and analytical experience (either through education or professional experience), including expertise with G-Suite, Excel and procurement systems
An undergraduate degree, preferably in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
Fluency in Google Suite applications (especially Google Sheets)
A track record of successfully leading large initiatives and sourcing events through strategic sourcing processes
Experience with high value contract negotiations
Flexibility to travel (up to 10%)
You are:
- Someone who has a clear strategic vision and loves the challenge of working with a diverse set of stakeholders and finding creative win-win solutions
- Data-driven with strong analytical skills, and passionate about bringing that decision-making mentality to the team
- Detail-oriented – You possess strong organizational skills and consistently demonstrate a systematic approach to all your work
- A self-starter – You are highly motivated and passionate; you're eager to take on new projects without knowing exactly what you will uncover.
- Agile – You thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments, are willing to get deep into the weeds where needed, and move quickly
- A fast learner – You get up to speed quickly on new categories, suppliers, regulations and markets.
- A strong communicator who can easily communicate complex solutions verbally and in writing to cross-functional partners and upper management
- Autonomous – You manage the scope and timeline of complex sourcing projects independently and connect daily decisions to broader strategy
- A coach – You develop the people around you and give constructive feedback that challenges the technical soundness of their work
- Able to influence without direct authority across Product, Operations, Finance, Legal and FSQA

Let’s cut to the cheese, this is why you'll love it here

Flexible Hybrid is a people-first approach that is based on choice, trust, personalization, and empowers teams to choose when and how often they work from the office and work from home, in addition to team days and company days. Whether this role is based out of our headquarters or one of our distribution centers, it is possible that you may be exposed to such allergens in this role. If you have any concerns with being exposed to any particular food ingredients, including meat, please disclose this during the hiring process.
