Work in collaboration with design engineers, quality assurance and other functions to advance critical functional safety initiatives and improvement opportunities.
Bring proven project management skills, with an ability to partner with and influence internal and external project stakeholders, experts and consultants.
Have knowledge of Safety Integrity Level (SIL).

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer/Systems Engineering.
Holds a relevant Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and/or a Functional Safety designation.

Proven experience in the application of IEC 61508, IEC 62061 and ISO 13849. Experience in Mining strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Safety Analysis methods: Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA).
Strong project/program management skills and requirements writing skills.
