Position Summary

Reporting to the Deputy Director of procurement and logistics of Product Support, the Operational Buyer reviews, analyzes, and executes purchasing activities related to their assigned responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Validate various material and/or process requirements
Analyze purchase requisitions in accordance with established procedures
Review supplier proposals, negotiate pricing, and delivery timelines
Issue purchase orders and obtain manufacturing drawings/specifications when required
Manage contracts and purchasing files
Follow up with suppliers to ensure product deliveries meet established deadlines and requirements
Update the system with the latest delivery information
Identify and communicate critical situations to management
Visit suppliers to resolve issues as required
Maintain planning parameters up to date
Manage supplier performance through monitoring and feedback
Represent Program Supply Chain at operations meetings when required

Are You Our Ideal Candidate ?

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the aerospace industry (an asset)
Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
Strong communication skills
Ability to learn quickly
Knowledge of an MRP / ERP system
Knowledge of aerospace quality standards (an asset)

Strong interpersonal skills
3 to 5 years of experience in a corporate buyer role

Sommaire du poste

Relevant de la Directrice adjointe aux achats et logistique de Soutien aux Produits, l'acheteur opérationnel examine, analyse et achète dans le cadre des activités relatives à ses attributions.

Principales responsabilités :

Valider les différents requis matières et/ou procédés
Analyser les réquisitions en lien avec les procédures établies
Analyser les propositions, négocier les prix et les délais de livraison
Émettre des ordres d’achats, obtenir des plans / techniques de fabrication lorsque requis
Gérer les contrats et les dossiers
Assurer un suivi auprès des fournisseurs pour assurer la livraison des produits en conformité avec les délais prescrits
Mettre à jour le système avec les dernières informations de livraison
Identifier et communiquer les situations critiques avec la Direction
Visiter les fournisseurs pour résoudre les enjeux tel que requis
Maintenir les paramètres de planification à jour
Gérer la performance des fournisseurs (monitorat et feedback)
Représenter l’approvisionnement de programmes aux réunions des opérations lorsque requis

Es-tu notre candidat idéal ?

DEC ou Baccalauréat en gestion des opérations ou administration des affaires ou expérience pertinente
Minimum un (1) an d'expérience dans le secteur aéronautique (Un atout)
Bilinguisme anglais et français, parlé et écrit
Bon communicateur
Rapidité d’apprentissage
Connaissance d’un système MRP / ERP
Connaissance des normes de qualités utilisées en aéronautique (Un atout)
Excellente capacité de négociation
