Heroux-Devtek, the world’s 3rd largest producer of landing gear, serves the civil and military aerospace markets from production facilities in North America, Europe and United Kingdom. Information on the division:

Located in Longueuil, on the South Shore of Montreal, this plant is not only the centre par excellence of the largest players in the aerospace industry for landing gear repair and maintenance, but also the plant that is recognized for the manufacture of the famous legs of the Apollo 11 lunar module.

Main responsibilities:

Design retaining fixtures and various tooling using CATIA software
Update tooling drawings
Update 3D assembly techniques
Update operational sketches using CATIA software
Participate in any other related tasks to support the Methods Department

The above-mentioned responsibilities will require collaboration with various stakeholders: Methods Technicians, Technical Specialists, and Production Floor Workers.

Our ideal candidate:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Technician, or Aircraft Manufacturing Technician.
Knowledge and proficiency in Catia software and the Microsoft Office suite.
Strong teamwork skills.
Autonomy and initiative.
Organizational skills.
Knowledge of 3Dvia Composer software (preferred).

Responsibilities

The intern will design retaining fixtures and tooling using CATIA software while updating technical drawings and operational sketches. They will collaborate with methods technicians, technical specialists, and production floor workers to support the Methods Department.

Requirements

Candidates must hold or be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant aircraft manufacturing/maintenance technician qualification. Proficiency in CATIA and the Microsoft Office suite is required, along with strong teamwork and organizational skills.
