The Position: Reporting to Head of Technical Publications, this position will see you join our Product development, within technical publications working closely with varied global stakeholders and Product Managers. This position will see you you’ll create, maintain, and deliver content on various platforms for a range of integrated hardware and software products.

In addition but not limited to the following responsibilities.

Document product features following the current technical publications processes.
Maintain, enhance, and adhere to technical publications documentation and reporting standards, systems, and processes. Participate in improving those systems and processes.
Lead Technical Publications product documentation projects as required.
Participate in Agile technical publications
Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders to develop new documentation and update existing documentation as required.

We have 2 positions - Please note this position has ability to be fulfilled in Perth, CBD, Australian Hendra QLD Australia, Newcastle, Australia or Vancouver Canada in hybrid office arrangement

About You

We are looking for an experienced Product Writer who is ready for the next step in their career, where your knowledge, skills, experience and passion can be brought to the forefront of your role.

In addition we are seeking those with the following qualifications and skills;

Tertiary, Diploma or background in relevant field or industry.
Familiarity working in Product Technical writing, with exposure to software and hardware portfolios/engineering process.
Experience working with Mining Operational technology portfolios would desirable, not essential.
Ability to understand complex technical information and disseminate it across varied content delivery modes or platforms and reading levels for broad external audiences.
Ability to utilise company approved AI model to support optimising efficiencies and productivity
Ability to work cohesively across multi-disciplinary teams, in support of gathering and validating required process/procedures.
Exceptional attention to detail, writing proficiency, and strong understanding of technical writing principles and best practices.
Experience working with Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, JIRA, Snagit and Figma

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and deliver documentation for integrated hardware and software products, following technical publications standards and processes. Lead documentation projects as needed, contribute to Agile technical publications work, and collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to develop and update content.

Requirements

Candidates should have relevant tertiary education, a diploma, or industry background, along with product technical writing experience and exposure to software, hardware, or engineering processes. Strong writing and attention to detail, the ability to explain complex technical information to varied audiences, familiarity with the listed documentation tools, and valid Australian working rights are sought; mining operational technology experience is desirable but not essential.
