Responsibilities
As Process Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for these activities:
- Design, document, and implement scalable end-to-end business processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve how work moves across functions and locations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Facilitate process design workshops with engineering, product, deployment, operations, quality, and commercial teams.
- Develop process governance, ownership, performance metrics, and change-control practices.
- Lead change management, training, and rollout activities to support sustained adoption of new processes.
- Define process KPIs and use performance data to measure results and identify further improvements.
- Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance, including process documentation, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with teams across the Americas and Australia to align local procedures with the global process framework.
- Travel occasionally to sites across the Americas and Australia, as required.
Qualifications
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial or Process Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in process engineering, operational excellence, business process management, or continuous improvement, ideally within a complex, multi-site, or global organization.
- Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies and hands-on experience with tools such as value stream mapping, SIPOC, root cause analysis, A3 problem-solving, and Kaizen.
- Demonstrated experience designing and documenting structured processes using inputs and outputs, RACI matrices, swimlanes, or process flows.
- Proven ability to take processes from design through implementation and sustained adoption.
- Experience leading change management initiatives and encouraging teams to adopt new ways of working.
- Working experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems, including writing compliant processes, supporting audits, and managing corrective actions.
- Experience defining KPIs and process performance metrics and using data to support decisions.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional workshops across teams and time zones.
Nice To Have
- P.Eng. or PE designation, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt with significant project experience.
- Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001.
- Experience building or harmonizing an integrated management system across multiple sites or legal entities.
- Experience in mining, heavy equipment, automotive, autonomous systems, or another engineered-product environment.
- Process experience across the technology product lifecycle, including new product development, new product introduction, supply chain, field deployment, operations, or support.
- Experience with process-modelling notation and tools such as BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or Signavio.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.
Key Success Factors
- Systems thinking: You can move between the broader business picture and detailed process steps while recognizing how changes in one area affect another.
- Clarity and discipline: You communicate clearly, document carefully, and simplify processes wherever possible.
- Influence without authority: You build trust and drive adoption through partnership across functions, cultures, and locations.
- Outcome focus: You care about whether a process works, not simply whether it exists, and you use measurable results to assess its success.
- Continuous-improvement mindset: You take a practical and curious approach to identifying problems and helping teams develop sustainable solutions.
