The Opportunity
Highspring is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant Developer specializing in Java Spring Boot to join an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution, modernization, and ongoing support of critical content management and document integration solutions within a highly regulated, cloud-native, and DevOps-driven environment.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys building scalable backend services, modernizing enterprise platforms, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications, REST APIs, and microservices using Java Spring Boot.
- Contribute to the modernization of enterprise content management solutions and their integration with AWS services.
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and application deployment processes.
- Ensure code quality through automated testing, peer code reviews, and adherence to software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, and technology partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in troubleshooting, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote secure, scalable, and maintainable application design.
What You Bring to the Table
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience for a P5-level role.
- 7+ years of relevant experience for a P6-level role.
- Strong experience working in agile delivery environments.
- Proven ability to work independently and integrate quickly within established teams.
- Experience supporting cloud-based, DevOps-oriented, and mission-critical production environments.
- For P6 candidates, demonstrated technical leadership, including mentoring developers, influencing design decisions, and driving engineering best practices.
