The Opportunity

Highspring is seeking a Senior Python Developer (AI Engineer) to join a growing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and support of enterprise-grade AI solutions leveraging Machine Learning and Generative AI technologies.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable Python-based solutions. This position is ideal for an experienced developer with strong software engineering fundamentals and a passion for AI innovation.

What You'll Do

Develop, enhance, and support enterprise-grade Python applications and libraries.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Design and implement robust, maintainable, and high-performing software architectures.
Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
Participate in prompt engineering initiatives for Generative AI solutions.
Maintain and optimize prompts as new Large Language Model (LLM) versions become available.
Conduct prompt benchmarking, testing, and performance analysis.
Monitor AI solutions and contribute to ongoing reliability, observability, and performance improvements.
Contribute to the maintenance and support of shared Python libraries and frameworks.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to AI and software engineering best practices.

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Passion for learning and applying emerging AI and Generative AI technologies.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
