Job Title: Junior Technical Sales Representative/ Sales Assistant

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Junior Technical Sales Representative to support business growth by developing new customer relationships, managing existing accounts, and identifying opportunities to increase sales.

The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for customers, distributors, and agents, providing professional sales support throughout the entire customer journey - from initial inquiries and quotations to order processing, project coordination, and post-sales service.

This role requires a strong combination of technical understanding, customer relationship management, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, commercially minded, and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales:

Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's customer base and market presence.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers, distributors, agents, and business partners.
Proactively follow up on sales leads, customer inquiries, quotations, and outstanding opportunities.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products, solutions, and services.
Work toward achieving established sales targets and business development objectives.

Customer Relationship & Account Management

Act as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing timely, professional, and effective support.
Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional business.
Provide comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales support, addressing customer questions and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate internally to ensure customer expectations are understood and fulfilled.

Quotation & Proposal Management

Review customer specifications and requirements to determine the company's ability to meet project needs.
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations, proposals, and sales presentations.
Ensure quotations and proposals are submitted within agreed timelines.
Review product costs, selling prices, and spare parts pricing using historical purchasing and sales information.
Follow up on submitted quotations and maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities.

Order & Project Coordination

Coordinate with Production and other internal departments to monitor order progress and provide customers with timely delivery updates.
Support order processing and follow through on customer commitments.
Communicate project requirements, delivery schedules, and potential changes to relevant stakeholders.
Work collaboratively across departments to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and projects.

Commercial & Contract Administration

Participate in commercial negotiations with customers and business partners.
Review proposed contract terms and conditions and submit them to the Finance team for review and approval.
Ensure pricing, quotations, and commercial documentation are accurate and comply with company policies and approval procedures.

Education

Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma required.
Post-secondary technical education or Mechanical Engineering coursework is preferred.

Professional Experience

Ideally three years of sales, business development, or customer account management experience.
Experience in a technical, industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment is considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships, prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales opportunities.

Technical & Professional Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience with CRM systems, ERP platforms, or other sales and order management software is an asset.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.

Key Competencies

Customer-focused mindset and commitment to service excellence.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Results-driven with a proactive approach to business development.
Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
Strong sense of accountability, initiative, and ownership.

Performance Measures & Success Indicators

Performance will be evaluated based on the following key indicators:

Achievement of assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.
Development of new customers and growth of existing accounts.
Accuracy, competitiveness, and timely delivery of customer quotations and proposals.
Consistent and effective follow-up on sales leads and outstanding quotations.
Customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and relationship retention.
Effective coordination of customer orders, projects, and delivery commitments.
Compliance with company pricing, contract approval, and commercial procedures.
This is NOT a commission-based sales job.

Working hours are Mon-Fri 630am-300pm

Must have valid working permit willingness to start on or before November 15, 2026
