Original job description

About The Role:

Our client is a global analytics leader who is looking for a Research Manager to join their team dedicated to supporting external clients with strategic consumer insights and industry benchmarks in North American wealth management.

In this role, you'll work with external clients to confirm participation, collect data, assess performance, and present to client executive leadership (head of wealth strategy, CFO, CEO, etc.) with insights into their competitive positioning. You will work with a team of analysts to manage complex data sets, conduct primary research, produce benchmarks, craft presentations, build industry knowledge, and develop wealth management expertise that help solve client challenges with real impact. You will lead the product’s strategy – understanding how it’s positioned in the market, how your team can maximize its value for clients and for the firm, and where to innovate it. You will leverage strong analytical, project management, storyboarding, business and communication skills to be successful.

The team is headquartered in downtown Toronto. They operate within a collaborative team environment where you'll work closely with intelligent, engaging colleagues who are committed to delivering exceptional performance. In this role, you will report directly to the director and supervise the work of 1-2 analysts.

This is an active posting for an open position. Candidates must be open to work in a hybrid setting located in Downtown Toronto, 2-3x/week in office.

Requirements:

5-7 years of data analysis experience in using complex datasets, online research, and/or performance benchmarks to drive and deliver insightful output
The ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing
The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines within a high energy, fast-paced and evolving environment
Expertise in using Excel and PowerPoint, with knowledge of visualization software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) or analytical tools (e.g. VBA, SQL) a plus
Experience in banking and financial services, with strong preference to wealth management and strategic consulting expertise
An applicable University Degree

What they Offer:

A competitive base salary and a variable annual bonus.
A flexible hybrid working policy. Most people come into the office 2-3 days/week.
A healthy work-life balance.
25 days annual leave, plus 4 wellness days and public holidays
Comprehensive benefits program
Generous employer RRSP contribution
An annual personal development allowance
An office walking distance to Union Station

Compensation: $120,000 - 150,000 CAD, commensurate on level of experience and alignment with the role
