Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

Compensation: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Wawa, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on experience working with small automotive vehicles and light-duty trucks. This role requires strong diagnostic abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on small automotive vehicles and light-duty trucks
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Repair or replace worn or damaged parts including brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, and engine components
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and other preventative maintenance services
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot vehicle systems
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle concerns and repair recommendations
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician
- Experience working on small automotive vehicles and light-duty trucks
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Ability to operate diagnostic and repair equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Automotive Service Technician Certificate
- Red Seal Certification
- Journeyman Certificate (preferred and considered an asset)
